The seven gods of fortune, the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, who have been most familiar to us, are gathered under an old pine tree, a symbol of longevity, with the rising sun blazing like life and the sacred mountain Fuji in the distance, dyed a brilliant crimson. The most auspicious of them all, a long-lived bird resting its wings and a red-crowned crane soaring in the air.
